Arrietty

Shou, a frail young boy spending the summer at his aunt’s house, stumbles upon something incredible: after chasing the house cat into the bushes, he spots a tiny girl no bigger than his finger. She belongs to a race called "Borrowers," who live by taking small items humans won’t miss. The girl, named Arrietty, reveals she lives in the basement with her parents, Pod and Homily. Shou is thrilled by the idea of having such extraordinary neighbors. But he doesn’t grasp the hardships they endure. They must stay hidden while risking dangerous journeys into human spaces-inside the house and beyond-just to survive. Despite her parents’ cautions, Arrietty befriends Shou, setting off a chain of events that could alter both their lives. This is the moving tale of an unlikely friendship, one that bridges the divide between two very different worlds.
