A Silent Voice: The Movie

Shouya Ishida was a troublemaker in elementary school, finding amusement in cruel ways to escape boredom. When Shouko Nishimiya, a deaf girl, joins his class, he and his classmates thoughtlessly bully her for fun. But after her mother reports the abuse to the school, Shouya is singled out as the sole culprit. Shouko leaves the school, leaving Shouya to face the consequences alone-his classmates ostracize him relentlessly through elementary and middle school, with teachers doing nothing to stop it. Now in his third year of high school, Shouya is still haunted by his past actions. Filled with regret, he decides to seek out Shouko again, hoping to make things right. "Koe no Katachi" follows Shouya's journey as he reconnects with Shouko and tries to atone for his mistakes, all while struggling to escape the guilt of his childhood cruelty.
