Howl's Moving Castle

The bizarre, clanking structure-a mess of hissing steam, groaning metal, and swirling smoke-is the moving castle of the famed wizard Howl. Known for his incredible magic and, according to rumors in Sophie Hatter’s hometown, his habit of chasing women, Howl seems worlds away from Sophie’s quiet life. As the unremarkable daughter of a hatmaker, she expects little from her future and focuses on her work in the shop. But everything changes when Sophie gets caught in a strange and frightening incident, leading Howl to intervene. This fleeting encounter draws the attention of the vain and bitter Witch of the Waste, who-still nursing a grudge against Howl-curses Sophie in a jealous rage, transforming her into an old woman. To break the curse, Sophie must journey with Howl and his odd companions-including a fiery demon and a bouncing scarecrow-inside his living castle. Together, they face perilous challenges as war ravages their kingdom.
