Princess Mononoke

When a violent demon boar attacks his Emishi village, the young prince Ashitaka risks his life to protect his people. As the beast dies, it curses his arm, giving him unnatural strength while slowly consuming his life. Told by the elders to seek a cure in the west, Ashitaka arrives at Iron Town, Tatara, where he is caught in a bitter conflict. Lady Eboshi, Tatara's leader, drives relentless deforestation, angering Princess San and the forest spirits who fight to protect their home. As the war between humans and nature escalates, Ashitaka tries to find a way for both sides to coexist-even as the curse threatens to overtake him. "Princess Mononoke" explores the tension between progress and nature, searching for a balance where both can thrive.
