Souya Kuroi wakes from a nightmare where a colossal dragon wreaks destruction in a burst of rainbow-colored light. Oneiromancy-the study of dreams-claims dragon dreams symbolize losing yourself to anger. This vision is all he remembers after a mysterious accident that took his parents and his past. Now trapped in a waking nightmare, he relies on two odd guardians: the lively maid Ginko and a giant cat called "Sensei." Life twists again when a teddy bear-shaped UFO attacks Saromisaka City. The military fails to stop it, but seven strangers step forward, defeating the invader with rainbow-colored light-the same light from Souya’s dream. With the threat gone, these "heroes" face a new enemy: Souya himself. Convinced they destroyed his former life, he vows revenge, pulling him into a conflict that spans the stars.
