Tomorou Tenma has an unusually powerful e-Pulse-a form of energy generated by human emotions that fuels Sapotamas, egg-shaped AI devices essential to daily life. However, Tomorou’s intense e-Pulse frequently causes these devices to malfunction. One night, a mysterious creature named Gekkoumon emerges from his Sapotama, demanding to consume his e-Pulse. Gekkoumon is a Digimon, a being born from Sapotama errors that feeds on e-Pulse energy. Some Digimon drain humans completely, leaving them in a coma-like state called Cold Heart. When Tomorou’s older brother, Asuka, falls victim to this condition, Tomorou swears to get revenge. He encounters a group called Glowing Dawn, bounty hunters who specialize in tracking rogue Digimon. Their leader, Kyou Sawashiro, suggests there might still be a way to save Asuka. Though wary of these strangers, Tomorou joins them, recognizing that he can’t rescue his brother alone.
