Kaiju No. 8

After the operation that captured Kafka Hibino-also known as Kaiju No. 8-the Defense Force struggles with how to handle him. Kafka is the first kaiju to ally with humans, and after deliberation, he’s assigned to the elite First Division, where his strength could bolster their already formidable forces. Still, skepticism lingers, and Kafka must prove himself in the field. When a swarm of ant-like kaiju launches an attack, Kafka and the First Division mobilize. With support from his friend Kikoru Shinomiya and their captain, Gen Narumi, the mission appears to go smoothly-until Kafka can’t transform into his kaiju form. Then, the terrifying Kaiju No. 9 enters the fray, intent on killing Kafka and taking his power. Despite the dire odds, Kafka must push through this toughest challenge yet if he hopes to keep his dream alive: fighting alongside his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro, captain of the Third Division.
