In the second half of the 21st century, humanity abandons Earth to live in space. To adapt to this new environment and fight against hostile aliens from Jupiter, genetically engineered children known as "Princes" are created and trained to pilot advanced combat robots called "AHSMB" (Advanced High Standard Multipurpose Battle Device). The story follows one of these teenage "Princes," Hitachi O Izuru, as he studies in the academic city of Grandzehle.
