HEROMAN - S01

Joey Jones is a quiet but good-natured teenager living in Center City, California, with his grandmother. He works at a coffee shop to help make ends meet for his struggling family and endures bullying at school, yet he keeps a positive attitude. His biggest dream is to own a high-end toy robot called a Heybo. One day, Joey and his friend Simon "Psy" Kaina find a broken Heybo thrown away by some wealthy kids. Joey takes it home, fixes it up, and names it Heroman. But one night, lightning strikes the robot, bringing it to life-and causing it to grow to a massive size. That same night, Center City comes under attack by alien invaders called the Skrugg, drawn to Earth after Joey’s acquaintance, Professor Matthew Denton, attempted to contact them. Joey and Heroman rush to the scene, where they find people in danger-including Joey’s friend Lina Davis and her father. Using a controller on his arm, Joey directs Heroman to fight off the Skrugg and save civilians. With the aliens escalating their invasion, Joey and Heroman stand as Earth’s last line of defense.
