By the end of the 21st century, humanity has transformed its economy and expanded into space thanks to a revolutionary new energy source called "DG energy" ("divine grace energy"). But when the first expedition reaches Pluto, they encounter a massive, hostile life-form called "Nergal." In response, the Earth Alliance Army revives ancient robotic weapons called the "G's Frame," unearthed from archaeological sites worldwide. Only specially gifted girls known as "Ancient Girls" can pilot them. The first AG Unit suffers devastating losses in the Jupiter Trojan campaign, and Unit 04's pilot, Minamiya Reiu, disappears. Years later, Reiu's younger sister, Reika, joins the AG Unit to find her missing sister and defend Earth from the Nergal. What follows is a story of friendship, ancient mechs, and desperate battles against the mysterious alien threat.
