Wake Up, Girls! - Seven Idols

In "Wake Up, Girls!," Green Leaves Entertainment is in dire straits-their talent agency has no talent left. Determined to turn things around, President Junko Tange sets her sights on the competitive idol industry and orders her assistant, Matsuda, to assemble a girl group from the ground up. Finding ready-made idols is impossible, so Matsuda scrambles to recruit anyone with potential who hasn’t already been snapped up by the music industry. A café waitress? She’ll do. A singer recently dropped from another group? Worth a shot. Even a 13-year-old with no experience? Well, it can’t hurt to try. They’re far from polished, and nobody knows their name yet, but with determination and effort, these girls might just make Japan take notice of Wake Up, Girls! one day.
