Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion

Shinji Ikari is emotionally numb after losing someone close to him. With his son unable to pilot the giant robot Evangelion Unit-01 due to his shattered state, Gendou Ikari and his organization NERV are in a desperate race against the secretive group SEELE. Each has their own terrifying goal-SEELE wants to merge their souls into an Evangelion to become godlike, while Gendou seeks to collapse all of humanity into a single primal existence so he can see his late wife, Yui, again. SEELE launches a brutal attack on NERV headquarters, slaughtering scientists and guards in their path. Asuka Langley Souryuu fights back in Evangelion Unit-02, holding the line against SEELE's deadliest weapons as the battle intensifies. Meanwhile, Shinji remains hidden deep inside NERV, consumed by despair. With the world on the brink, Captain Misato Katsuragi searches for him, knowing everything depends on the broken boy-even as civilization collapses around them.
