Top Secret: The Revelation - S01

In the future, a new MRI technology allows investigators to extract memories from the brains of crime victims and eyewitnesses within 48 hours of death, helping solve murders. But the method raises ethical concerns, putting Section Nine-the police unit led by Tsuyoshi Maki that handles these MRI investigations-under intense scrutiny from both the public and authorities. The team must endure the psychological toll of reliving traumatic events through the memories of victims and killers, while also navigating delicate negotiations with grieving families for permission to scan the deceased. Ikkou Aoki, a recent police academy graduate, joins Section Nine to replace Katsuhiro Suzuki-Maki’s late best friend and former colleague, who died under mysterious circumstances after reviewing disturbing MRI footage. As a series of seemingly unconnected incidents begin to converge around Suzuki’s unsolved case, Section Nine faces its most dangerous crisis yet-one that could destroy the unit entirely.
