The Piano Forest

"Piano no Mori" follows Shuuhei Amamiya, a new student at Moriwaki Elementary, who brags about his piano skills and immediately becomes a target for the class bully, Daigaku Kanehira. Daigaku challenges Shuuhei to find and play a supposedly cursed piano in the nearby forest. While searching, Shuuhei encounters Kai Ichinose, a troublemaker from the poorer part of town, who claims the piano belongs to him and that he's the only one who can play it. Curious, Shuuhei watches as Kai performs a stunning piece on the hidden instrument. Kai's talent catches the attention of not just Shuuhei but also their music teacher, Sousuke Ajino. Impressed, Ajino takes Kai under his wing, guiding him into formal piano lessons.
