The Case of Hana & Alice

Tetsuko "Alice" Arisugawa has just started at Ishinomori Middle School when she hears an unsettling rumor from her classmates. The student who sat at her desk before her, a quiet boy nicknamed "Judas," has vanished-and some say he was poisoned by one of his four wives. Alice already has her hands full with her mother's intrusive behavior and the constant bullying from her peers, but she can't ignore the mystery of Judas' disappearance. Her search for answers brings her to the doorstep of Hana Arai, her eccentric and withdrawn neighbor. Despite their awkward first meeting, Hana agrees to help, and together they devise a plan to uncover the truth. As they follow the clues, the two girls might just find more than they bargained for-including the beginnings of an unexpected friendship.
