On the quiet edges of Helvetia lies the peaceful town of Seize, where life moves calmly along its cobbled streets, untouched by the growing military tensions between Helvetia and the neighboring Roman Empire. Amid this backdrop, the Helvetian army's 1121st platoon, stationed at Seize's Clocktower Fortress, welcomes a new recruit-the lively and determined Kanata Sorami. She enlisted with dreams of learning the bugle, and her enthusiasm leads her to train under Sergeant Major Rio Kazumiya, a talented trumpeter. Alongside them are Noël Kannagi, the reserved mechanic; Kureha Suminoya, the fiery gunner; and the kind-hearted Captain Felicia Heideman. Together, they discover the quiet beauty of life in Seize and the enduring warmth of a community that thrives even as the world outside begins to falter.
