New Century Legend Mars

While covering the discovery of a new volcanic island, journalist Iwakura stumbles upon a young man with no memory of who he is. The story draws the attention of a mysterious figure named Rush, who locates the amnesiac and reveals his true identity. The young man, Mars, is not from Earth-like Rush, he was sent here with a single purpose: to pilot a devastatingly powerful robot called Gaia and annihilate Earth if humanity ever tries to expand beyond the planet. As a failsafe, Gaia is designed to self-destruct, wiping out the planet, should Mars die. With Mars' memories gone, Rush offers him ten days to learn about Earth's past before making a choice. Now Mars must decide-fulfill his mission or defy his orders and protect humanity.
