My Sister Momoko

Momoko is a mentally and physically disabled girl who attends a special school. Each morning, she grows upset because she can’t go to the regular school with her twin brother, Riki. To comfort her, her family sings her favorite song, "The Song of Frogs." During an open classroom day, Momoko cheers loudly for Riki as he plays dodgeball, helping his team win. Ryuji, a boy from the losing team, angrily tells Riki to stop bringing his "idiot sister" to school. Enraged, Riki lashes out and punches Ryuji. The next year, Momoko finally gets to attend Riki’s school as part of an integrated education program. But when her health suddenly worsens, she’s hospitalized. Determined to lift her spirits, Riki and his classmates aim to win a relay race so they can share the victory with her. However, Ryuichi, the fastest runner, refuses to join the race.
