MEGALOBOX - S01

Megalo Box is a high-tech version of boxing where fighters wear mechanical frames known as Gear. Years ago, "Gearless" Joe rose to fame by winning the first Megalonia tournament, becoming a legend in the sport. But after losing an exhibition match against the next champion, he disappeared from the spotlight. Now, seven years later, Joe lives under the name "Nomad," drifting through life and taking part in underground fights to scrape by. He struggles with haunting visions and dulls his mind with painkillers. After defeating a fighter named Chief-who threw the match for gambling money-Joe learns Chief belongs to a group of immigrants called the Casa. They live illegally on land they hope to buy, and Chief is slowly saving up for it. Though reluctant at first, Joe eventually chooses to help them.
