Liz and the Blue Bird

Liz lives a quiet, lonely life until she meets a blue bird who takes the form of a girl. Their bond deepens, but Liz must make a painful choice to truly understand her love for the bird. Mizore Yoroizuka and Nozomi Kasaki, two high school seniors and close friends, are assigned the lead parts in their band's performance of "Liz and the Blue Bird," a piece based on this fairy tale. Mizore, shy and withdrawn, plays the oboe as Liz, while Nozomi, bright and outgoing, plays the flute as the Blue Bird. As they practice, their playing feels out of sync, frustrating the band. With graduation approaching, their friendship begins to strain under unspoken tensions. Running short on time, they try to immerse themselves in their roles, hoping to bridge the gap. But when they reinterpret the fairy tale in a new light, will they find the courage to confront difficult truths? A spin-off from the "Hibike! Euphonium" series, "Liz and the Blue Bird" weaves together the threads of a wistful story, an emotional musical piece, and the fragile bond between two girls.
