At the start of the 21st century, the United Nations Kurobe Research Institute was founded in Japan to study an ancient artifact unearthed during the construction of the Kurobe Dam. Scientists from across the globe work at the facility, while their children go about their daily lives at Mt. Tate International Senior High School. Yukina Shirahane, a quiet high school student and the daughter of the facility’s lead researcher, accidentally deciphers part of the artifact’s secrets while visiting her mother. To her shock, a young samurai named Kennosuke Tokisada Ouma emerges from the past-straight out of the Sengoku era. When an otherworldly threat looms, Yukina and Kennosuke must join forces to defend Earth from invasion. Through their battles, Yukina begins to unravel the truth behind Kennosuke’s origins and his unwavering resolve to keep her safe.
