Barefoot Gen 2

The year is 1948, three years after the atomic bomb devastated Hiroshima and tore apart the Nakaoka family. Gen Nakaoka, his mother, and his adopted brother, Ryuuta, fight to survive in the ruins of their once-thriving city. But after meeting a group of homeless orphans, Gen comes to understand that, in some ways, he’s still fortunate. As radiation sickness and the harsh presence of foreign soldiers leave their mark on Hiroshima, Gen and Ryuuta must dig deep to find the resilience they need to move forward.
