Uryuu Kamihate lost his mother as a child and grew up rejecting the idea of gods, seeing faith as meaningless. Determined to become a doctor, he dedicates himself to studying, hoping to enter Kyoto University. Looking for a quieter place to focus than the noisy orphanage where he was raised, Uryuu finds shelter at the Amagami Shrine, thanks to its head priest, Chidori Amagami. The catch? He must live with Chidori's three granddaughters-Yae, Yuna, and Asahi-who work as shrine maidens. To make things harder, Chidori insists Uryuu marry one of them to secure the shrine's future and eventually take over its duties. But with Uryuu's pragmatic ambitions clashing against the sisters' devout ways, this arrangement feels more like an impossible challenge than a solution.
