Soul Eater

Death City houses the renowned Death Weapon Meister Academy, or Shibusen, a school led by the Shinigami-Lord Death himself. The academy’s purpose is to train Death Scythes, powerful weapons the Shinigami uses to fight the darkness plaguing their world. But these Death Scythes aren’t ordinary weapons; they’re humans with the ability to transform into Demon Weapons-but only after they’ve absorbed the souls of 99 wicked beings and one witch. Soul Eater Evans, a laid-back Demon Scythe obsessed with being cool, dreams of becoming a Death Scythe with the help of his no-nonsense meister, Maka Albarn. Alongside them are the fiery Black Star and his gentle weapon Tsubaki, as well as Death the Kid, the Shinigami’s perfectionist son, who wields the twin pistols Patty and Liz. Through missions to gather souls and defend the city from danger, the students of Shibusen train under the watchful, grinning sun, striving to grow stronger in mind, body, and soul.
