Space Runaway Ideon: Contact

Humans exploring the universe in search of knowledge uncover three massive trucks and a giant alien spaceship on the planet Solo, relics of a long-dead civilization. During their excavation, a humanoid alien race called the Buff Clan arrives, and Karala Ajiba-the daughter of their military leader-disobeys orders by descending to the planet. To retrieve her, the Buff Clan attacks and wipes out the Earth settlement. Facing annihilation, the humans Cosmo Yuuki, Kasha Imhof, and Bes Jordan take control of the trucks, which merge to form the towering robot Ideon. As they resist the alien assault, the surviving humans escape aboard the Solo Ship. The Buff Clan pursues them, determined to seize Ideon and the enigmatic power hidden within it.
