Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth

In 2015, over ten years have passed since the disaster called Second Impact devastated humanity. In the years since, a handful of people became aware of the Angels-massive, hostile beings determined to bring about the Third Impact and eradicate what remains of mankind. Teenager Shinji Ikari is summoned to the city of Tokyo-3 by his estranged father, Gendou. Having been apart since his mother’s death, Shinji assumes his father wants to mend their broken relationship. Instead, he learns he was brought there to pilot Evangelion Unit-01, a giant machine designed to fight the Angels. Thrown into battle against these relentless enemies, Shinji soon realizes he’s at the center of a plan that could decide the fate of humanity itself.
