Natsume's Book of Friends the Movie: Ephemeral Bond

Takashi Natsume, along with his spirit companion Madara-affectionately called "Nyanko"-keeps returning the names of spirits bound in the "Book of Friends," a legacy from his late grandmother Reiko. One day after school, Takashi meets a spirit named Monmonbou, who recognizes his name and stirs up old memories of Reiko. Intrigued, Takashi visits a strange town where his grandmother once lived. There, he befriends Yorie Tsumura, an old acquaintance of Reiko’s, and her son Mukuo, learning more about his grandmother’s past. Meanwhile, Nyanko wanders off in search of food and discovers a peculiar "Spirit Seed" that grows into a full fruit tree overnight. Unable to resist, Nyanko eats the fruit-only to split into three separate beings. As Takashi and his friends work to fix Nyanko’s mishap, they stumble upon deeper mysteries hidden within the town.
