Memories

"Memories" is a collection of three short films, each with its own distinct story and style. "Magnetic Rose" Deep in space, engineers Heintz Beckner and Miguel Costrela follow a distress signal to a massive, abandoned space station. Inside, they discover a crumbling mansion and venture in to investigate. As they explore, they uncover the grim fate of Eva Friedel, a once-famous opera singer with a haunting past. Soon, eerie visions torment them, and they must struggle to hold onto their sanity if they hope to leave the station alive. "Stink Bomb" Nobuo Tanaka, a clumsy lab assistant, takes what he thinks are cold medicine pills. Unbeknownst to him, they’re experimental drugs that turn his gas into a deadly weapon. As his toxic fumes kill everyone around him, his bosses order him to return to company headquarters in Tokyo. The trip becomes a nightmare as Nobuo tries to control his lethal odor while evading the police, military, and foreign agents chasing him. "Cannon Fodder" In a city dominated by cannons, a young boy dreams of outshining his father by becoming a legendary artillery officer. Though there’s no sign of an enemy, he’s obsessed with joining the daily bombardments the city ritualistically carries out. Whether in class or lying in bed, his only wish is to fire a cannon for his country’s glory.
