Kaori Sawahara’s college trip to Okinawa was meant to be a peaceful seaside getaway, but things take a terrifying turn when a nightmarish threat rises from the ocean. A bizarre mechanism has transformed sea creatures, giving them legs and driving them ashore to attack everything in sight. Along with her friends-the flirtatious Erika and the quiet Aki-Kaori is caught in the chaos, made even worse by the creatures’ overwhelming stench of decay. After barely escaping the first wave of attacks, Kaori tries to call her fiancé, Tadashi, in Tokyo. The call is abruptly cut short, and she hears what sounds like another fish assault on the other end. Worried for Tadashi’s safety, she leaves Okinawa for Tokyo. While Erika and Aki deal with the ongoing attacks back home, Kaori races to find Tadashi, not realizing the disaster is far from over.
