Fruits Basket -prelude-

Kyouko Honda’s death was tragic, but her memory remains vivid, offering comfort and guidance to those who loved her. Yet the Kyouko they remember-wise and full of light-wasn’t always that way. As a teenager, abandoned by her family and shunned by others, she turned to delinquency, throwing away stability and risking her future. Just as she was sinking deeper into despair, she met Katsuya, a new teacher at her school. Unlike anyone else, Katsuya stayed calm in the face of her anger and won her over with kindness-something she had never known. Slowly, Kyouko let him into her wounded heart, and through him, she found a path to a brighter life.
