Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

In 2065, Earth is nothing like it once was. Lethal alien beings called Phantoms have spread across the planet, killing humans instantly or slowly with just a touch. To protect what remains of humanity, massive force-field barriers shield the few surviving cities. Scientists Aki Ross and her mentor, Dr. Sid, search for a lasting solution. Their research uncovers Gaia energy-a spiritual force capable of wiping out the Phantoms. They aren’t alone in their fight; the human council and the military unit "Deep Eyes" stand with them, though not everyone believes in their plan. Aki, Sid, Grey, and their allies must unite against threats from both the Phantoms and their own kind. While the Phantoms are deadly at a touch, they soon learn their human enemies are just as dangerous. The struggle to save Earth will test them all.
