In a future where Earth lies in ruins after a catastrophic disaster, most of humanity has left their physical bodies behind to exist digitally aboard DEVA, an advanced space station orbiting the desolate planet. Free from the burdens of mortality and scarcity, the citizens of this virtual world live in apparent harmony-until Frontier Setter, a rogue hacker, breaches the system and spreads disruptive messages among the population. Declared a security threat by DEVA's authorities, Frontier Setter becomes the target of Angela Balzac, a determined enforcer. When the hacker's signal is traced back to Earth, Angela transfers her consciousness into a cloned body and descends to the ruined surface to stop him.
