Visual Prison - S01

For centuries, vampires have lived under the rule of the Scarlet Moon. Every year, they hold the "Visual Prison," a visual kei competition where the vampire who sings the most beautiful song is granted immense power by the Scarlet Moon. Two factions dominate the contest: ECLIPSE, the reigning champions who uphold tradition, and LOST EDEN, a group that believes power alone should determine the victor. Ange Yuki is a lonely boy who doubts his own singing talent. He moves to Harajuku in hopes of finding the musician he idolizes, but during his search, he gets caught in a live performance battle between ECLIPSE and LOST EDEN. Their dazzling music overwhelms him, and he collapses from bloodlust. When he wakes, he’s under the care of Guiltia "Guil" Brion-the very musician he admires-who reveals Ange is a dhampir, half-human and half-vampire. Though Ange now has the chance to compete in the next Visual Prison, Guil refuses to join him. Soon after, Ange meets Robin Laffite, a newcomer from England, who is instantly captivated by his singing voice. With the competition fast approaching, Ange must quickly assemble a team worthy of the stage.
