Hikari is a schoolgirl who aspires to be a champion in rhythmic gymnastics, inspired by her idol, Diliana Gueorguiva. Though she struggles at first, her dedication and the guidance of Takaaki Oiishi-her school’s top male gymnast-help her join the rhythmic gymnastics team. Along the way, she develops feelings for Oiishi, but she isn’t alone; Hazuki Shiina, the school’s best gymnast, also has a crush on him. While Hikari and Shiina grow closer as friends, a rivalry forms between them-both in gymnastics and for Oiishi’s affection. Complicating matters further, Hikari finds herself conflicted over her feelings for Oiishi and Mao Natsukawa, her childhood friend and lead singer of the band Mr. D. Mao writes the music for her performances and has secretly cared for her since they were kids.
