Two young women with the same name leave their hometowns behind, each chasing a fresh start in Tokyo. Nana Komatsu is a warm, trusting girl who longs for love, though her romantic life has been messy until she finds stability with her steady boyfriend, Shouji Endo. Determined to join him in Tokyo, she saves up to make the move. Meanwhile, Nana Osaki, a punk singer with a solitary streak, sees her intense relationship with Ren Honjou-her band’s bassist-end abruptly. Despite the heartbreak, she sets her sights on Tokyo, determined to make it as a musician. By chance, the two Nanas meet again soon after arriving in the city and end up sharing an apartment. As their friendship deepens, they lean on each other through the challenges of building new lives in Tokyo.
