SHIROBAKO the Movie

Four years after producing "Daisan Hikou Shoujotai", Musashino Animation-once famous as "Musani"-is struggling. The sudden cancellation of a major project left the studio in financial trouble, driving most of the staff away. Since then, Musani has faded from prominence, unable to produce anything noteworthy. Producer Aoi Miyamori, though her hope flickers, refuses to accept this decline. Her chance for a turnaround arrives with "SIVA", an original film set to release in just ten months. Meanwhile, Aoi's friends face their own professional struggles: animation supervisor Ema Yasuhara is overwhelmed by her workload; voice actress and reporter Shizuka Sakaki is frustrated by the scarcity of anime roles; screenwriter Midori Imai can't find inspiration after her last failure; and 3D artist Misa Toudou worries her intense passion might be hurting her career. The anime industry is full of obstacles and uncertainty, but the five friends are determined to push forward. Their difficult journey could bring them closer to the dream they all share.
