Instead, Nanako expresses herself through senryuu, short 17-syllable poems. Eiji Busujima, also 16, was once a troublemaker in middle school. Now reformed, he's discovered a passion for senryuu. Though his sharp features make him look intimidating, he bonds easily with Nanako as part of the Literature Club. Despite Nanako's silence, the two have no trouble understanding each other. "Senryuu Shoujo" is a gentle, slice-of-life story about their everyday experiences.
