Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace - S01

One seemingly normal day, middle schooler Yoshio Kobayashi wakes up in his classroom to a gruesome sight-his teacher has been brutally murdered, and Yoshio is clutching the weapon. Though stunned at first, his oddly detached curiosity leaves him secretly excited by the attempt to frame him. His reluctant friend Souji Hashiba gets roped into helping, and the pair set out to clear Yoshio’s name. Meanwhile, high school detective prodigy Kogorou Akechi arrives to investigate the crime. When he crosses paths with the accused boy, their fascination with each other ignites: Yoshio wants to join Akechi’s world of solving crimes, while the detective is eager to test the boy’s potential. "Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace" is a surreal horror-mystery anime filled with disturbing and strange crimes, drawing loose inspiration from the works of Ranpo Edogawa, a legendary figure in Japanese fiction.
