Pupa - S01

Utsutsu and Yume Hasegawa, abandoned by their cruel parents, have only ever relied on each other. But their fragile lives take a dark turn when strange red butterflies appear, luring them into a horror they never saw coming. These crimson insects signal the arrival of Pupa, a terrifying virus that awakens a hunger for human flesh. When Yume falls victim to Pupa, she transforms into a monstrous being consumed by an endless craving. Utsutsu, only partially infected, gains the ability to heal rapidly. Despite the nightmare unfolding around them, he clings to his vow-to protect Yume no matter the cost. As Yume's hunger spirals out of control, Utsutsu fights to save her, even as he tries to shield the world from her monstrous urges. Their bond is tested in ways neither could have imagined.
