One Outs - S01

Toua Tokuchi is a genius at baseball and gambling, though he only throws average fastballs. He’s famous for winning 499 straight games of One Outs-a duel between pitcher and batter-but to him, it’s just a way to earn easy cash. When Hiromichi Kojima, a star hitter for the failing Saikyou Saitama Lycaons, sees Tokuchi play, he believes the man could save their team. Kojima stakes his own career in a One Outs match against Tokuchi and wins, forcing Tokuchi to join the Lycaons. But Tokuchi clashes with the team’s owner, Tsuneo Saikawa, who won’t pay him fairly. Tokuchi counters with an unusual deal: he gets five million yen for every out he pitches, but loses fifty million for every run he allows. Now, every game could make him rich or ruin him-and Tokuchi has to outsmart everyone in his path.
