In a time long before the modern era, Princess Chizuru Ooshima, who adores sweets, works hard to prepare for her English proficiency exam. To ensure Her Highness stays focused, Lord Shogun orders a ban on all sweets in the town of Edo. At the same time, tensions grow between two powerful factions: the Mizutani group, led by the respected Shizuku "Ane-san" Mizutani, and the Yoshida group, overseen by the unpredictable Haru "Harunosuke" Yoshida. Ane-san attempts repeatedly to reach Harunosuke, hoping to inform him about the opening of a new temple school. When they finally meet by chance, a romantic spark ignites between them. But not everyone welcomes this unexpected bond-and some may go to extreme lengths to keep them apart.
