As the producer of the 05th Floor Alliance, a small game development group made up of his apartment neighbors, he manages their latest hit, "The Night the Black Goat Screamed*, which unexpectedly hits a million downloads. To secure the circle’s future and guide their next projects to even greater success, Akiteru turns to Honeyplace Works, a major company run by his uncle, Makoto Tsukinomori. But his uncle sets an odd condition before agreeing to partner with them: Akiteru must pretend to be his cousin Mashiro’s boyfriend. Seeing no reason to refuse-it’s the most efficient solution-he agrees for his team’s sake. Complicating matters further is Iroha Kohinata, the younger sister of his fellow developer and best friend, Ozuma. A relentless tease, Iroha enjoys getting under Akiteru’s skin.
