Matoi the Sacred Slayer - S01

Matoi Sumeragi just wants an ordinary life, far from attention. She's content splitting her time between school and her part-time job at her best friend Yuma Kusanagi's family shrine. But everything changes when a Night-a malevolent being from another dimension-attacks the shrine. Without meaning to, Matoi taps into the power of a god, the sworn foes of the Nights, and manages to repel the creature. Soon, Matoi and Yuma find themselves teamed up with Claris Tonitolus, a seasoned Vatican exorcist, and Haruka Luciela, an agent from the shadowy Night-fighting organization IATO. Even though they don’t know who’s behind the attacks or why they’re happening, Matoi has no choice but to learn to control her new abilities-both to protect those close to her and to reclaim the peaceful life she once knew.
