With support from his friend Kikoru Shinomiya and their captain, Gen Narumi, the mission appears to go smoothly-until Kafka can’t transform into his kaiju form. Then, the terrifying Kaiju No. 9 enters the fray, intent on killing Kafka and taking his power. Despite the dire odds, Kafka must push through this toughest challenge yet if he hopes to keep his dream alive: fighting alongside his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro, captain of the Third Division.
