Kaiji - S01

Deep in debt once again, Kaiji Itou returns to his old ways. While wandering the streets, he crosses paths with Yuuji Endou, a collector for the Teiai Group who's been tracking him over unpaid dues. Oblivious to the danger, Kaiji eagerly tags along, thinking it might lead to another high-risk gamble-only to realize too late that he’s been taken captive. With no way to repay his massive debt, the Teiai Group forces Kaiji into an underground labor camp, sentencing him to fifteen years of grueling work alongside other debtors. His only shot at early freedom is to save enough money to buy a single day back on the surface. There, he hopes to win the rest of what he owes through one final gamble. But with temptations chipping away at his meager earnings, Kaiji might find himself risking it all sooner than he planned.
