Futaba Yoshioka, a junior high student, can't stand boys-she finds them loud and irritating. The only one who doesn't fit that mold is Kou Tanaka, a quiet boy from the class next door. Over time, the two share hesitant looks and clumsy conversations. Futaba has never been interested in romance before, so she doesn't understand the strange emotions stirring inside her. By their second year of high school, Futaba and her friends attend a summer festival. While the other girls skip wearing yukatas, Yuuri Makita dresses up, hoping to catch Kou's attention. Futaba is left stunned as she watches Yuuri and Kou grow closer. With things moving this way, will Futaba ever find the courage to act on her feelings?
