Yuri!!! on Ice - S01

After a devastating loss at the Grand Prix Finale, Yuuri Katsuki-once Japan’s brightest figure skating hope-returns home to rethink his future. At 23, his chances of success in the sport are slipping away, and his fondness for pork cutlets and tendency to gain weight aren’t making things easier. But everything changes when a video of Yuuri performing a routine by five-time world champion Victor Nikiforov spreads online. To Yuuri’s shock, Victor shows up at his doorstep and volunteers to coach him. Thrilled as a longtime fan, Yuuri agrees, setting out to reclaim his place in competitive skating. Yet the path won’t be easy, especially with the fierce young Russian skater Yuri Plisetsky dead set on crushing Yuuri and reclaiming Victor’s attention.
