Ten years after the events of "xxxHOLiC Shunmuki," Kimihiro Watanuki now runs the shop once owned by the enigmatic Yuuko, fulfilling a promise he made to her. Though he carries a lingering sadness, he shares a quiet life with his companions Maru, Moro, and Mokona. Occasionally, old friends visit-Shizuka Doumeki, once his rival and now a loyal ally, and Kohane Tsuyuri, a former psychic prodigy. While Kohane studies folklore under Doumeki at university, they stumble upon a case perfectly suited for Watanuki’s skills. Later, Watanuki is approached by Doumeki’s grandfather, Haruka, who asks him to look into his grandson’s dreams. Venturing into the dream world, Watanuki sees their past adventures through Doumeki’s eyes, uncovering hidden truths from a decade ago and the deeper bonds that connect their friendship.
