Wise Man's Grandchild - S01

In the kingdom of Earlshide, Merlin Wolford was once celebrated as a hero, admired for his strength and deeds. But he chose to retreat to a secluded life in the countryside, devoting himself to raising an orphan he rescued. This orphan, Shin, was originally an ordinary office worker from modern Japan who was reborn into Merlin’s world with all his past memories intact. Over the years, Shin shows extraordinary skill in magic and combat, constantly surprising Merlin with his talent. Yet by his 15th birthday, it’s clear Shin has focused solely on fighting-leaving him socially clueless, lacking common sense, and only somewhat responsible. To grow beyond this, he enrolls in the kingdom’s Magic Academy, hoping to develop alongside other students. But fitting in isn’t easy, as he quickly becomes a minor celebrity upon arrival. Now navigating high school life in the capital, Shin makes friends, discovers more about the world, and faces the threats lurking around him and his city.
