Welcome to the N-H-K - S01

Tatsuhiro Satou, a 22-year-old college dropout, has been a shut-in for nearly four years. Alone in his apartment, he clings to bizarre conspiracy theories, especially one he’s convinced is true: the Nihon Hikikomori Kyokai (NHK),a shadowy group plotting to spread hikikomori culture, is responsible for his NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) lifestyle. "NHK ni Youkoso!" is a darkly comedic drama about Tatsuhiro’s struggle to break free from the NHK’s supposed schemes and his own self-imposed isolation, even as the simple act of stepping outside or finding work feels impossible. When he crosses paths with the enigmatic Misaki Nakahara, it might be his chance to turn things around-but it also means confronting his deepest fear: the outside world.
